is there a reason there has been no news on this? i was casually browsing itunes and i came across this, available for preorder. i had heard absolutely nothing about it, and it seems that there is almost nothing online about it except for one article.

have ya'll been to a "solo" show of his? ive noticed on some of the upcoming dates it says, "an evening with mason (solo)". is this what i think it means? if so im super excited! just thought i'd ask what these shows are like…

I went down to my local record store for Record Store Day and they had a Mason album (on CD) entitled "Fingerprints - Sept. 20, 2009"

It is an in-store performance at a record store in Long Beach, CA and Mason has Chris, Brian and Jacob Hanson with him.

The tracks are:

It doesn't look like Brushfire had anything to do with the release as they are not mentioned anywhere. It is P&C 2010 Mason Jennings.

New "Simple Life"-ish album in Fall

He may have announced this earlier, but the first I heard of it was at the 5/21 Dallas show: this Fall, Mason's going to release another album of early fan favorites and such. He mentioned "In the Field" (née "The Field") as a definite cut.

Mason is finally heading south! It's been too long since I've seen him live. Can't wait to see him tomorrow and again on the 19th.

I'm going to post his set list from his show tomorrow in Asheville at the Orange Peel and then from his Atlanta show on 6-19.

i love Mason's interpretation of it...and his great great sounding voice...i know it's a Dylan song, but are there any Mason Jenning's songs that are a bit more on the darker side? a little less poppy i guess? what i've heard just seems a little too poppy for my tastes, but i only skimmed itunes previews. I purchased Moon Sailing On Water which is alright...but i just love his voice so much there's gotta be somethin out there that appeals to me more...my fav bands are Radiohead, The Beatles, Pink Floyd....any ideas? haha thanks.
